After a chance meeting in Switzerland, Dr. Shikoh Gitau, founder of Qhala, invited the Algorithmic Justice League to screen Coded Bias in France at the AI Africa Village. We started the world tour in Paris coinciding with the AI Action Summit - a global convening of government leaders, international organisations, academic and research communities, the private sector, and civil society focused on stewarding the development of AI systems. The 2025 AI Action Summit followed the 2023 AI Safety Summit hosted in the UK, and the 2024 AI Seoul Summit in South Korea. The Algorithmic Justice League was an inaugural member of the first summit convened at Bletchley Park represented by Megan Smith. It was an honor to have her represent AJL at the Africa AI Village screening of the documentary two years later.
